Hyderabad: Transport and BC Welfare Minister Ponnam Prabhakar extended Telangana Formation Day greetings to the people of the state. He also paid tribute to those who contributed to the statehood movement.
The minister expressed gratitude to Congress leader Sonia Gandhi. According to him, she played a key role in fulfilling the aspirations of millions of Telangana people through the formation of the state.
Ponnam Prabhakar said Telangana emerged after years of sustained struggle. He recalled the agitations, protests and hunger strikes that marked the movement. In addition, he highlighted the role of students, employees and activists in the statehood campaign.
The minister said the sacrifices of martyrs and movement supporters paved the way for Telangana’s formation. Moreover, he added that their contributions would always be remembered.
Telangana Formation Day recalls statehood struggle
Ponnam Prabhakar said every village participated in the movement. He noted that many families made sacrifices for the cause. Furthermore, he said activists fulfilled their responsibilities with dedication throughout the struggle.
On the occasion of the state’s formation anniversary, the minister paid homage to movement activists, martyrs and people who participated in the statehood movement.
He also conveyed his greetings and best wishes to all people of Telangana on the state’s formation anniversary.
