Hyderabad: Singareni Collieries Company Limited (SCCL) Chairman and Managing Director Dr. Buddhaprakash Jyoti said the company is pursuing SCCL global expansion plans and aims to establish a presence beyond Telangana and across international markets.

Addressing Telangana State Formation Day celebrations at Singareni Bhavan in Hyderabad on Tuesday, the CMD said transforming Singareni into an organisation that meets international standards would be a matter of pride for Telangana.

He urged employees to work with dedication and commitment to help achieve that objective.

Dr. Buddhaprakash Jyoti said SCCL has already expanded its operations beyond Telangana into other states. He added that the organisation should adopt a long-term vision and gradually strengthen its position at the global level.

The CMD recalled the sacrifices made by people from different sections of society during the Telangana statehood movement. He said the state has recorded significant progress and generated employment opportunities since its formation.

SCCL global expansion linked to higher productivity

Highlighting the company’s future plans, Dr. Buddhaprakash Jyoti stressed the need to increase production and productivity across mining operations.

He said SCCL should maximise the use of machinery in both opencast and underground mines. At the same time, the company should focus on improving operational efficiency and the quality of output.

Before the celebrations, the CMD paid floral tributes to Telangana Thalli, the Martyrs’ Memorial and Professor K. Jayashankar.

He later unfurled the National Flag as part of the Telangana Formation Day programme.

During the event, officials felicitated employees who delivered outstanding services to the organisation.
