Chief Secretary reviews preparations for Telangana Rising 2026 Global Summit
Hyderabad: Chief Secretary Sanjay Jaju directed all government departments to coordinate closely and make comprehensive arrangements for the successful conduct of the Telangana Rising 2026 Global Summit, scheduled for December.
Reviewing preparations at the Dr B.R. Ambedkar Telangana State Secretariat on Wednesday, Jaju said the summit would play a key role in attracting large-scale investments. Moreover, he said national and international organisations should extend full cooperation to achieve the Telangana Rising-2047 vision.
The Chief Secretary said the Global Summit would provide a major platform to boost Telangana’s Gross State Domestic Product (GSDP). Accordingly, he instructed every department to prepare detailed action plans. He also asked officials to work in close coordination throughout the preparations.
Telangana Rising 2026 to drive investment
Officials informed the meeting that the government launched the Telangana Rising initiative to position the State as a national leader. The initiative focuses on development, investments, industrial growth, infrastructure, skill development, innovation, employment generation and welfare.
Meanwhile, officials proposed hosting the Global Summit at the Young India Skill University campus in Bharat Future City. The campus is currently under construction. They also directed the concerned departments to complete roads, electricity and drinking water facilities before the summit.
The meeting reviewed strategies to attract fresh investments. Further, officials discussed ways to accelerate industrial growth. They also examined measures to expand skill development opportunities for youth. In addition, they reviewed plans to generate employment and improve digital service delivery across the State.
Chief Minister’s Adviser and Ex-officio Special Chief Secretary K. Ramakrishna Rao, TGIIC Managing Director Shashanka, Invest Telangana CEO Ajith Reddy, Industries Department Special Secretary Krishna Aditya, Director Nikhil Chakravarthy, IT Department Joint Secretary Anudeep Durishetty and senior officials attended the meeting.
