Hyderabad: Revenue Minister Ponguleti Srinivasa Reddy on Saturday said the State government would soon announce relief on long-pending land-related issues. He said the government was addressing 12 key land issues identified in the Legislative Assembly.
Referring to Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy’s announcement in the Assembly, Ponguleti said the issues were being resolved in phases. The government has issued GO 118 for colony-specific land problems and GO 76 for house plots in the Singareni belt.
Ponguleti, along with Ministers Ponnam Prabhakar and Mohammed Azharuddin, distributed regularisation certificates at Saroornagar Indoor Stadium. The certificates covered housing plots in 44 colonies of the LB Nagar Assembly constituency.
The Revenue Minister said land issues in 44 of the 64 colonies in the area had now been resolved. He said the action was taken in accordance with the Chief Minister’s directions.
Ponguleti said Revanth Reddy had promised LB Nagar residents that GO 118 would be implemented during his tenure as Malkajgiri MP. He said the Chief Minister had now fulfilled that commitment.
District Collectors have been directed to resolve colony-level grievances without political bias, the Minister said.
Telangana land issues to see further action
Addressing concerns over properties placed on prohibitory lists by the previous BRS government, Ponguleti said they would be cleared and regularised within a month. He also ruled out the demolition of houses.
The Minister said GO 118 benefits would be extended to more residents in Medchal-Malkajgiri and Ranga Reddy districts. He said this process would be taken up within a month.
On lands covered by Section 22-A restrictions, Ponguleti said the government would issue orders within a week. He said the move would address long-pending restrictions affecting such properties.
Ponguleti maintained that the government was proceeding systematically with the land issues identified in the Assembly. He said people would soon receive further good news as the remaining matters were addressed.
LB Nagar MLA D. Sudheer Reddy and Ibrahimpatnam MLA Malreddy Ranga Reddy attended the programme. LB Nagar Congress in-charge Madhu Yaskhi Goud and others were also present.
