Hyderabad: TGSPDCL Chairman and Managing Director Jitesh V. Patil inspected the Bhoothpur power substation on Wednesday and directed officials to strengthen load management and supply reliability.
Patil conducted the surprise inspection of the 33/11 kV substation in Mahabubnagar district along with Collector Khushboo Gupta. During the visit, the CMD reviewed the substation’s performance, electricity supply conditions and services provided to consumers.
He sought details about the existing power load and measures taken during periods of peak demand. In addition, officials briefed him about the substation’s capacity to meet future requirements. Patil also reviewed the overall power supply position in areas served by the facility.
Bhoothpur power substation load and supply reviewed
The CMD sought details about the number of villages receiving electricity through the Bhoothpur power substation. He also reviewed whether those areas faced power interruptions, low-voltage supply or other technical problems.
With electricity consumption increasing in rural areas, Patil directed officials to take preventive measures to avoid inconvenience to consumers. He asked them to continuously monitor the distribution system in line with changing electricity demand.
Moreover, the CMD directed officials to regularly review the performance of substations and feeders. Patil said providing consumers with quality, uninterrupted and safe electricity remained the organisation’s primary objective.
Therefore, he instructed officials to complete required maintenance works on schedule to prevent disruptions in electricity supply. Officials briefed the CMD about electricity supply conditions in villages covered by the substation.
They also presented details on existing loads, technical issues and anticipated future requirements. In addition, officials explained development works being undertaken within the Bhoothpur power substation service area.
The inspection also covered measures aimed at further strengthening the electricity distribution network. Patil reviewed the steps and discussed the infrastructure required to meet rising demand while maintaining reliable power supply.
TGSPDCL Superintending Engineer Bheema Naik and Divisional Engineer Chandramouli participated in the inspection. Other Electricity Department officials and staff also attended the review at the 33/11 kV substation.
