Hyderabad: Agriculture Minister Tummala Nageswara Rao on Thursday directed officials to improve inter-departmental coordination and complete targets on time to strengthen farmer welfare. The minister issued the instructions during a review of the Agriculture, Marketing, Cooperation and allied departments at the Secretariat.
The Agriculture Production Commissioner and Government Secretary attended the meeting. Moreover, heads of departments under Agriculture, Marketing, Cooperation and allied sectors participated in the review. The Tummala agriculture review covered ongoing programmes and implementation of schemes across the departments.
Tummala agriculture review examines farmer services
Tummala reviewed the services that different departments provided to farmers. In addition, he examined pending issues and the status of programmes under implementation. The minister also assessed department-wise activities and discussed future action plans with senior officials.
Furthermore, officials briefed him on programmes under the Agriculture, Marketing, Cooperation and allied departments. The Tummala agriculture review focused on improving coordination among these departments to strengthen services for farmers.
Tummala instructed officials to work together while implementing programmes related to farmer welfare. He also asked them to meet the targets assigned to their respective departments within the stipulated timelines.
The minister examined future plans alongside the progress of existing schemes and programmes. Meanwhile, the meeting brought together senior officials and department heads responsible for agriculture and allied activities.
Tummala asked officials to maintain coordination across departments to improve farmer welfare. Additionally, he stressed timely completion of the goals fixed for each department.
