Centre approves 8 new trains to boost Telangana connectivity

Hyderabad: The Centre approved new trains Telangana with the Railway Ministry clearing eight weekly special services from Hyderabad to improve passenger connectivity.

Union Minister G. Kishan Reddy confirmed the decision and said it would strengthen rail infrastructure in the state. He added that the move would ease congestion and improve travel options for long-distance passengers.

The new trains will operate from Kacheguda, Charlapalli, and Nampally stations. As a result, passengers will gain better access to multiple regions across the country.

The services will connect Telangana with key destinations including Tirupati and Tiruchanur in Andhra Pradesh. In addition, routes will extend to Bhubaneswar in Odisha, Jaipur, and Sri Ganganagar in Rajasthan.

Officials said the weekly special trains would reduce passenger load on existing services. Moreover, they would provide convenient travel options for pilgrims and long-distance travellers.

Kishan Reddy said the approval marked another step in strengthening railway connectivity in Telangana. He thanked Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Railway Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw for their support.

He said the initiative reflected the Centre’s focus on infrastructure development in the state. Furthermore, he added that improved rail services would benefit passengers and support regional growth.
