Komatireddy lays foundation for Venkateswara Temple in Nalgonda

Hyderabad: Minister for Roads & Buildings and Cinematography Komatireddy Venkat Reddy laid the foundation stone for the Venkateswara Temple Nalgonda at Padmavathi Nagar Colony Park in the 41st division on Wednesday.

The Minister said construction of temples strengthened social unity and created a harmonious atmosphere. Moreover, he described the initiative as an auspicious development for the locality.

He said the Venkateswara Temple Nalgonda, dedicated to Lord Venkateswara, would serve the spiritual needs of residents. He added that the deity was revered as the presiding god of Kaliyuga.

Venkateswara Temple Nalgonda to improve local access

Komatireddy Venkat Reddy said devotees from across the world visited Tirumala. However, he noted that a local temple would provide easier access to spiritual practices.

He said establishing the Venkateswara Temple Nalgonda would offer convenience and solace to the community. Therefore, residents would not need to travel long distances for worship.

Highlighting development, he said works worth ₹70 lakh were underway in the park. Meanwhile, these works were progressing steadily.

The Minister assured full support for the temple project, which was estimated to cost ₹2 crore. In addition, he said the government would continue backing community initiatives.

He reaffirmed that development of Nalgonda remained his priority. Further, he appreciated the Mayor’s efforts to promote greenery and tree plantation across wards.

He said authorities would undertake comprehensive development works across the town. As a result, civic infrastructure and public spaces would improve.
