Hyderabad: Former minister Talasani Srinivas Yadav criticised the government over the RTC strike, alleging that its policies were hurting employee livelihoods.
Speaking to the media amid the ongoing strike, Talasani said the government promoted electric buses while sidelining RTC employees. He questioned why authorities engaged private drivers and conductors instead of RTC staff.
He demanded that the government appoint RTC employees to operate electric buses. According to him, this step would protect jobs and improve accountability.

He also raised concerns over the free bus travel scheme for women. He questioned how the scheme functions under current conditions.
The former minister said the government must resolve the crisis. He urged authorities to address workers’ issues and end the strike at the earliest.
