Hyderabad: A TGRTC conductor from Mehdipatnam Depot received alternative work responsibilities after facing difficulties in performing regular bus duties because of his exceptional height.
Ameen Ahmed Ansari stands 198 cm tall. Earlier, the corporation assigned him a one-year Out of Designation duty to reduce work-related difficulties.
However, the issue continued even after the special assignment ended. Consequently, TGRTC decided to continue supporting the employee with more suitable duties.
TGRTC conductor assigned alternative responsibilities
The corporation permitted Ansari to work in sections better suited to his physical condition. Officials identified roles in bus pass sections and at Rajiv Gandhi International Airport for his services.
According to the corporation, the decision aimed to ensure that the employee could continue contributing without facing physically difficult duties.
The move reflected a practical and humanitarian approach by the transport corporation towards employee welfare and workplace challenges.
