KTR blames Telangana government over Mancherial farmer deaths

Hyderabad: BRS working president KT Rama Rao blamed the Telangana government for the farmer deaths reported at procurement centres in Mancherial district after heavy rain and strong winds.

KTR expressed grief over the deaths of four farmers in two separate incidents near procurement centres in Mancherial district. He said several other farmers also suffered injuries after walls collapsed during the storm.

KTR accused the Congress government of delaying crop procurement for weeks despite farmers bringing produce to procurement centres.

Farmer deaths spark political criticism

According to KTR, seven farmers died at different procurement centres across Telangana within the last three days. He alleged that the deaths exposed the failure of the state government to protect farmers.
