PM Modi Telangana visit on May 9 to feature major project launches

Hyderabad: Prime Minister Narendra Modi is scheduled to visit Telangana on May 9 to launch and inaugurate a series of major infrastructure and development projects.

Officials said the PM Modi Telangana visit would include the dedication of Phase 2 of the Multi-Modal Transport System. He is also expected to inaugurate the AIIMS facility at Bibinagar during the visit.

In addition, the PM Modi Telangana visit will cover the laying of foundation stones for several national highway projects. The Prime Minister will also dedicate the Warangal Coach Factory to the nation and inaugurate key railway projects.

A public meeting at Gymkhana Grounds has been planned as part of the programme.

PM Modi Telangana visit includes transport and health projects

The PM Modi Telangana visit is set to focus on transport and healthcare infrastructure. The launch of MMTS Phase 2 is expected to improve suburban rail connectivity in and around Hyderabad.

Similarly, the AIIMS Bibinagar facility is expected to strengthen tertiary healthcare services in the region. Officials said these projects form part of broader development efforts in Telangana.

The visit also includes multiple railway and highway initiatives aimed at improving connectivity. These projects are expected to support economic activity and regional mobility.

The PM Modi Telangana visit has generated political interest as it comes soon after assembly election results in five states. Political observers are closely watching the developments around the visit.

An invitation has been extended for an event at Mallareddy University. However, there is no confirmation yet on whether the Prime Minister will attend that programme.

Officials said further details of the schedule would be finalised closer to the visit date.
