Hyderabad: Private colleges in Hyderabad have announced early Diwali holidays because of water scarcity in the city. The Sri Chaitanya, Narayana Madhapur and Hi-Techs branches are among the institutions that declared the holidays before Diwali.
Students rushed out of the colleges all at once to head home. As a result, the Hi-Tech City metro station and other metro stations were choked.
Classes to be held online
College staff have informed that classes will be conducted online. The private colleges announced the early holidays because of the water shortage in Hyderabad.
