Vivek Venkatswamy launches welfare, infrastructure works in Patancheru

Hyderabad: Telangana Labour, Employment and Mines Minister G. Vivek Venkatswamy launched several welfare works in Patancheru during programmes held across Sangareddy district.

The minister laid foundation stones for road and development works worth around Rs 8 crore in Bhanur village of Patancheru mandal. He also announced that the second phase distribution of Indiramma houses would begin from June 2.

Addressing the gathering, Vivek Venkatswamy said the Congress government was fulfilling the dream of home ownership for poor families through the Indiramma housing scheme. He further stated that the government sanctioned 3,500 houses for every Assembly constituency.

Welfare works in Patancheru gain momentum

The minister said the government was issuing ration cards to all eligible families. He stated that the cards would help beneficiaries access welfare schemes. Meanwhile, he announced that authorities would sanction new pensions from June 2.

Vivek Venkatswamy also assured that officials would widen narrow roads in Patancheru. In addition, he said authorities would soon begin road expansion works after discussions with the Roads and Buildings Department.

The minister recalled that former Prime Minister Indira Gandhi played a major role in establishing institutions in the Medak region. He also remembered the contributions of veteran leaders Kaka Venkataswamy and T. Anjaiah.

During the programme, Vivek Venkatswamy unveiled the portrait of T. Anjaiah and paid floral tributes. Later, he laid the foundation stone for BT road works from Patancheru to Bhanur village with an allocation of Rs 8.30 crore.

Subsequently, the minister inaugurated development works worth Rs 15 crore each in Isnapur, Indresham, Jinnaram, Gummadidala and Gaddapotharam municipalities under the Urban Development Scheme.

He also participated in the Indiramma Housing housewarming programme at Solakpalli village in Jinnaram mandal. Later, Vivek Venkatswamy laid the foundation stone for additional classrooms at the KGBV school in Jinnaram.
