Hyderabad: Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy said the Indiramma governance model belonged to all sections and had demonstrated that social justice and dignified living were achievable.
He declared that Telangana belonged to Bahujan communities and reiterated his government’s commitment to inclusive welfare and social justice. Revanth made the remarks on Tuesday after unveiling the statue of Sardar Sarvai Papanna Goud on Tank Bund in Hyderabad.
The Chief Minister described Papanna Goud as a transformative leader who had mobilised Bahujan communities against oppressive feudal forces. He said the historical figure had led a campaign with Bahujan communities and captured Golconda Fort.
“Sardar Sarvai Papanna Goud did not work merely for his caste or family,” Revanth said. “He led a campaign along with the Bahujans and hoisted his flag over Golconda Fort. His inspiration should remain with the people of Telangana forever,” he added.
Indiramma governance model stresses social justice
Revanth said his administration had focused on social justice and welfare rather than serving any individual or particular section. “This is not a government that belongs to me alone. It is a government working for social justice and welfare,” he said.
“This government belongs to everyone,” the Chief Minister added. He said the Indiramma governance model had demonstrated that people from all sections could achieve social justice and live with dignity.
Revanth also highlighted Papanna Goud’s historical legacy and his role in mobilising Bahujan communities. The Chief Minister said Papanna Goud’s ideals and fighting spirit should continue to inspire Telangana society.
Papanna Goud statue to receive official prominence
Revanth said the newly unveiled Sardar Sarvai Papanna Goud statue would receive official prominence. According to the Chief Minister, the government would accord the statue prominence on par with the Telangana Martyrs’ Memorial.
The announcement formed part of his government’s effort to recognise Papanna Goud’s historical contribution and preserve his legacy. Meanwhile, Revanth reiterated his political confidence in the Congress government.
He said the Congress was positioned to win all 117 Assembly seats and secure a second consecutive term in Telangana. The Chief Minister linked the government’s political confidence to its emphasis on welfare and social justice.
He maintained that the Indiramma governance model would continue to serve all sections of Telangana society.
