Hyderabad: Telangana Excise, Tourism and Culture Minister Jupally Krishna Rao said the government aimed to remove the middlemen system and ensure speedy resolution of public grievances through transparent administration.
He warned officials against negligence in handling public petitions. He said responsive governance reflected the true spirit of Praja Palana.
The district-level Praja Palana Pragathi Pranalika programme took place on Friday at the Wanaparthy Collectorate. Wanaparthy MLA Tudi Megha Reddy, District Collector Adarsh Surabhi, SP Sunitha Reddy, Additional Collector Khimya Naik and Additional SP Rajesh Meena attended the programme.
MLA Tudi Megha Reddy announced plans to build an Integrated School in Wanaparthy constituency with an investment of ₹200 crore. He said the project would strengthen educational infrastructure in the region.
Meanwhile, Jupally Krishna Rao said the government led by Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy was continuing earlier welfare schemes while launching new initiatives in education, healthcare and governance.
The Minister directed officials to clear applications linked to welfare schemes and land disputes without delay. He gave special focus to issues related to Bhu Bharati and Indiramma Housing.

He also advised beneficiaries to construct houses within approved financial limits to avoid debt burdens.
District Collector Adarsh Surabhi highlighted welfare measures implemented in Wanaparthy district under the Praja Government. He said authorities waived ₹491 crore in loans for 61,687 farmers.
The Collector stated that the government provided ₹140 crore investment support to 1,83,839 farmers under Rythu Bharosa. He added that officials completed paddy procurement for 50,585 farmers during the Kharif 2025-26 season.
According to the Collector, authorities issued 73,214 new ration cards and provided free 200-unit electricity benefits to 84,830 beneficiaries under Gruha Jyothi.
He said officials sanctioned 6,094 Indiramma houses and distributed ₹28 crore interest-free loans to 8,258 Self Help Groups.
Adarsh Surabhi said the district achieved a 97 per cent SSC pass percentage and secured 19th rank in the state. He linked the performance to the government’s education reforms.
Under the Bala Bharosa initiative, Welfare and Health Department officials distributed hearing aids to 16 children.
Women federations from Wanaparthy and Chinnambavi mandals received buses under the Indira Mahila Shakti programme. In addition, the Agriculture Department distributed green manure and seeds to farmers.
Later, the dignitaries visited departmental stalls and photo exhibitions arranged at the Collectorate premises to showcase welfare and development activities.
