Hyderabad: The Telangana government will offer silk robes at 26 prominent temples in Hyderabad and Secunderabad on August 9 as part of the Ashada month Bonalu celebrations.
Senior ministers, legislators, government advisers and other representatives will present the robes for the State government. Meanwhile, arrangements have been made across the twin cities for the festivities.
Legislative Council Chairman Gutta Sukhender Reddy will attend the Sri Mahankali Temple in Uppuguda. Similarly, Assembly Speaker Gaddam Prasad Kumar will offer robes at the Sri Mahankali Temple in Mir Alam Mandi.
Ministers Ponnam Prabhakar and Konda Surekha will attend the Sri Simhavahini Mahankali Temple in Lal Darwaza. Further, Health Minister Damodar Rajanarsimha will offer robes at the Sri Darbar Maisamma Temple in Karwan.
R&B Minister Komatireddy Venkat Reddy will attend the Sri Bangaru Maisamma Temple in Sultan Shahi. At the same time, IT and Industries Minister D. Sridhar Babu will attend the Sri Akkanna Madanna Temple in Haribowli.
Minister Ponguleti Srinivas Reddy will attend the Sri Katta Maisamma Temple in Chilkalguda. Meanwhile, Minister Dansari Anasuya Seethakka will offer robes at the Sri Mahankali Temple in Amberpet.
Minister Tummala Nageswara Rao will attend the Sri Nalla Pochamma Temple in Sabzi Mandi. Likewise, Minister Jupally Krishna Rao will attend the Sri Bangaru Maisamma Temple in Rambakshabanda.
Minister Gaddam Vivek Venkataswamy will attend the Sri Muthyalamma Temple in Bhela. In Sultan Shahi, Minister Adluri Lakshman Kumar will attend the Sri Jagadamba Temple.
Minister Vakiti Srihari will offer robes at the Sri Mahankali Temple in Gowlipura. Chief Minister’s Adviser Vem Narender Reddy will attend the Sri Nalla Pochamma Temple in Haribowli.
Government Adviser V. Hanumantha Rao will attend the Sri Bangaru Maisamma Temple in Haribowli. Further, government representatives K. Keshava Rao and Addanki Dayakar will attend the Sri Bangaru Maisamma Temple in Boiguda.
Bonalu celebrations to feature government offerings
Government Adviser P. Sudarshan Reddy will attend the Sri Mahankali Sametha Mahankaleshwara Temple in Nacharam. Similarly, Government Adviser Harkara Venugopal Rao will attend the Sri Mahankali Temple in Gowlipura.
Government Whips Pocharam Srinivas Reddy and Adi Srinivas will attend the Sri Khilla Maisamma Temple in LB Nagar. Meanwhile, Government Adviser and MLA Vijay Ramana Rao will attend the Sri Mahankali Temple in Alijakota.
Government Chief Whip Patnam Mahender Reddy will attend the Sri Bhoolakshmi Temple near the Musi Bridge. In addition, Government Whip Balmuri Venkat will attend the Sri Mahankali Temple in Natraj Nagar.
Deputy Speaker Jathoth Ramchander Naik will attend the Sri Darbar Maisamma Temple in Aliabad. At Murad Mahal, Legislative Council Deputy Chairman Dr. Banda Prakash will attend the Sri Nalla Pochamma Temple.
Rajya Sabha member M. Anil Kumar Yadav will attend the Sri Nalla Pochamma Temple in CBI Quarters. Finally, Legislative Council member B. Mahesh Kumar Goud will attend the Sri Bhagya Lakshmi Temple at Charminar.
The State government has made arrangements for the Bonalu celebrations across Hyderabad and Secunderabad. Moreover, officials said the silk robe offerings would reflect respect for Telangana’s culture and traditions.
The government also said the arrangements would give due importance to devotees’ faith and sentiments during the Ashada month festivities.
