Hyderabad: BRS MLC Tata Madhu on Monday denied insulting Telangana Legislative Assembly Speaker Gaddam Prasad Kumar or Legislative Council Chairman Gutta Sukhender Reddy.

The Tata Madhu denial came amid allegations that he had made objectionable remarks against the two presiding officers. However, Madhu accused the Congress of spreading false propaganda over his comments.

Madhu acknowledged that he had used strong language. However, he maintained that those remarks were directed at police personnel rather than the Assembly Speaker or Council Chairman. He said his comments concerned the alleged conduct of police towards BRS women MLAs.

Tata Madhu denial targets Congress claims

Madhu alleged that his comments had been distorted to create a false impression about their intended targets. According to him, the remarks had wrongly been portrayed as an attack on the presiding officers.

The BRS MLC maintained that he had neither insulted Speaker Gaddam Prasad Kumar nor Chairman Gutta Sukhender Reddy. Instead, he said his strong language had targeted police personnel over their alleged treatment of BRS women legislators.

Madhu also criticised the opposition for raising the controversy. He alleged that they were unable to enter the Assembly and effectively raise issues concerning the public.

The Tata Madhu denial focused on his contention that his remarks had been misrepresented. He maintained that the Congress had falsely linked his comments to the Assembly Speaker and Legislative Council Chairman.
