Hyderabad: Lal Darwaza Bonalu traffic arrangements were inspected by DCP Traffic-III Rahul Hegde B.K., IPS, ahead of the Elephant Procession.
The Hyderabad Traffic Police officer visited Lal Darwaza Temple and reviewed bandobust arrangements for the Simha Vahini Sri Mahankali Lal Darwaza Bonalu celebrations.
During the inspection, Hegde personally checked the designated traffic diversion points. He also issued instructions to police officers and staff handling the arrangements.
The diversion plan will come into effect as the procession and Ghataalu reach their respective diversion points. Police will implement the measures according to the movement of the procession.
The Hyderabad Traffic Police said the arrangements aimed to maintain smooth traffic movement. They also focused on protecting devotees and other road users during the procession.

The traffic diversions will operate at specific points when the procession reaches them. This approach will allow police personnel to manage vehicle movement alongside the religious procession.
Meanwhile, officers and staff received instructions on the diversion arrangements planned for the day. The DCP reviewed these arrangements during his visit to the temple.
The inspection covered both bandobust preparations and traffic management measures. Police also focused on road safety around Lal Darwaza Temple during the event.

The arrangements formed part of the wider security and traffic plan for Bonalu 2026. Police said the measures would support safer movement for devotees, motorists and other road users.
