KTR promises Narsampet Medical College will bear Pedi Sudarshan Reddy’s name

KTR backs Pedi Sudarshan Reddy memorial honour

Hyderabad: BRS working president KTR said Narsampet Medical College would be named after Pedi Sudarshan Reddy if his party returned to power.

KTR made the promise while speaking at the Sudarshan Reddy Memorial Meeting. He said the decision would honour Pedi Sudarshan Reddy’s contribution to public life and the Telangana movement.

According to KTR, Pedi remained deeply connected with people despite winning only once. He pointed to the large crowd at Pedi’s final journey as evidence of that public connection.

KTR said Pedi’s legacy rested on how he served people rather than how long he lived. He described the former leader as someone who continued to live in people’s hearts.

The BRS leader also recalled Pedi Sudarshan Reddy’s role in struggles across the erstwhile Warangal district. He said Pedi helped guide the Telangana movement in the region.

KTR further said the people of the entire Orugallu turned out to bid farewell to Pedi Anna. He linked the large gathering to the respect Pedi earned through his role in the movement.

Pedi Sudarshan Reddy remembered for Telangana movement role

KTR described Pedi as a public leader who worked through the Telangana movement in the erstwhile Warangal district. He also called him a symbol of the movement and its grassroots strength.

Furthermore, KTR said Pedi’s public service had created a lasting bond with people. He argued that the turnout for Pedi’s final journey demonstrated the respect he commanded.

The BRS leader also referred to Pedi’s political career while recalling his connection with the people. He said Pedi won only once but remained remembered long after that electoral victory.

KTR then outlined the party’s proposed tribute to Pedi. He said Narsampet Medical College would carry Pedi Sudarshan Reddy’s name if the BRS formed the government again.

He also said KCR would become Chief Minister again after two years. KTR presented the proposed renaming as a certainty under that future BRS government.

The remarks came at a memorial meeting held to remember Pedi Sudarshan Reddy. KTR used the occasion to highlight Pedi’s role in Telangana’s political movement and public life.
