Hyderabad: The Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) registered a disproportionate assets case against Tehsildar Desani Srinivas Reddy. He currently works as the Divisional Administrative Officer (DAO) at the Ibrahimpatnam Revenue Divisional Office.
The ACB conducted simultaneous searches at 7 locations from the early hours of Thursday. The searches covered his residences, office premises and properties linked to his relatives.
Officials identified assets worth Rs. 6.87 crore that they said were disproportionate to his known income. The government registration value of the identified assets stood at Rs. 6,87,36,792.
During the searches, ACB officials identified two residential flats in Karmanghat. One flat was complete, while the other remained under construction, with a combined value of Rs. 2.63 crore.

The ACB also identified a 233-square-yard G+3 penthouse valued at more than Rs. 1.61 crore. Officials found the property in Nallavelli village of Yacharam mandal in Rangareddy district.
In addition, the searches uncovered 10 acres of agricultural land with an estimated value of Rs. 25 lakh. Officials also found 8 open plots worth Rs. 62.84 lakh in the city outskirts and other areas.
The ACB identified a partnership investment worth Rs. 86 lakh in a bar and restaurant in Balapur. It also found Rs. 4 lakh in cash and a bank balance of Rs. 8.6 lakh.
Officials seized 680 grams of gold ornaments valued at Rs. 5.85 lakh. They also found bank loan documents linked to 46 tolas of gold deposited as security.
The searches also covered 3 cars, 2 two-wheelers, household appliances and electronic gadgets valued at Rs. 11 lakh. The ACB said the open-market value of the identified assets could be substantially higher than their official registration value.
Notably, the ACB had registered another disproportionate assets case against Srinivas Reddy in 2009. At that time, he was working as an RA in Maheshwaram mandal.
The ACB said it would produce the accused before the ACB Special Court. He will then be sent to judicial remand, according to the agency.
