TGSRTC extends Rs 1 crore aid to families of deceased employees

Hyderabad: TGSRTC, in association with Union Bank of India, extended financial support to families of employees who died in separate road accidents under the TGSRTC employee welfare initiative.

The organisation handed over financial assistance of Rs 1 crore each to the families of two deceased drivers through a free accident insurance scheme linked to Union Bank salary accounts.

Drivers Sudhakar from Picket Depot and Srinivas Reddy from Pargi Depot lost their lives in separate road accidents.

Officials said both employees held Union Bank Super Salary Savings Accounts, which provided accident insurance coverage through RuPay cards.

Under the scheme, employees who opened designated salary accounts became eligible for free accident insurance benefits.

The programme provides Rs 1 crore financial assistance to families in case of accidental death.

TGSRTC employee welfare strengthened through insurance support

TGSRTC VC and MD Y. Nagi Reddy, Union Bank Chief General Manager M. Ravindra Babu and Regional Head D. Venkateswarlu handed over the cheques during a programme held at Bus Bhavan on Monday.

Speaking on the occasion, Y. Nagi Reddy expressed grief over the deaths of the two drivers.

He said TGSRTC remained committed to the welfare and security of employees and their families.

According to the RTC MD, the Telangana government under Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy was strengthening employee welfare and financial security systems.

He stated that welfare initiatives such as accident insurance support become crucial during emergencies.

The MD also urged employees to make full use of welfare schemes without negligence.

He thanked Union Bank of India for supporting RTC employees and standing by affected families during difficult times.

ED CH Venkanna, Finance Advisor Vijayapushpa, CPM Ushadevi and Union Bank officials also attended the programme.
