Hyderabad: TGSRTC Vice-Chairman and Managing Director Y. Nagi Reddy conducted TGSRTC Warangal inspections at the main bus stations in Warangal and Hanamkonda and at the Hanamkonda depot on Tuesday. He reviewed passenger services, depot management and infrastructure facilities during the surprise visits.
The Managing Director also announced that the corporation would introduce another 100 electric buses in Warangal under the Centre’s PM eBus Sewa scheme. He said 112 electric buses were already operating successfully in the Warangal region.
TGSRTC Warangal inspections focus on passenger services
Nagi Reddy directed officials to maintain high standards of cleanliness at bus stations. He also stressed the need to provide safe drinking water, ensure the safety of women passengers, maintain waiting halls and improve the punctuality of bus services.
Later, he held a review meeting with the Regional Manager, depot managers, drivers and conductors. During the meeting, he reviewed bus routes, occupancy ratios and issues raised by employees.
The Managing Director said TGSRTC’s primary objective was to provide safe and quality transport services while retaining public confidence. He warned that the corporation would not tolerate negligence in passenger services. He also instructed employees to perform their duties responsibly.
TGSRTC Warangal inspections review future expansion
Nagi Reddy said TGSRTC was providing transport services to nearly 60 lakh passengers every day through more than 9,000 buses across Telangana. He added that the corporation would further modernise public transport services in the erstwhile Warangal district.
Furthermore, he said the planned improvements would provide passengers with safer, faster and better-quality transport services.
Executive Director M. Rajashekhar, Chief Civil Engineer Kavitha, Warangal Regional Manager Bhavani Prasad and other RTC officials accompanied the Managing Director during the inspections.
