Telangana extends graduate voter registration deadline till nomination cut-off

Hyderabad: Telangana has extended the deadline for graduate voter registration beyond November 6. Eligible graduates can now submit applications until the last date for filing nominations for the graduate MLC elections, Chief Electoral Officer C Sudarshan Reddy announced.

The original deadline was November 6. However, technical problems with the voter registration portal over the past two days disrupted the application process. The CEO responded to the issue and announced the extension to ensure eligible graduates had more time to register.

Sudarshan Reddy said eligible graduates need not worry about the Form-18 application deadline. He assured applicants that officials would resolve the server problems quickly and restore online application services.

Graduate voter registration remains open until nominations close

The extension allows eligible graduates to apply even after the earlier November 6 cut-off. Meanwhile, political parties have been conducting voter registration drives. However, officials have faced a poor response from graduates seeking enrolment.

The Election Commission of India has yet to announce the schedule for the graduate MLC elections in Telangana. The final date for filing nominations will determine the extended registration deadline.
