Harish Rao accuses Congress government of neglecting employee promises

Hyderabad: Former minister and senior BRS leader T. Harish Rao accused the Congress government of failing to honour commitments made to government employees, RTC staff, ASHA workers and Anganwadi workers.

Speaking at a meeting of the Hyderabad Metropolitan Water Supply and Sewerage Board on Thursday, Harish Rao questioned the delay in implementing the Pay Revision Commission (PRC) and releasing pending Dearness Allowances (DAs).

He alleged that the government led by Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy had not fulfilled several promises made during the election campaign.

According to Harish Rao, employees expected key announcements from the government on Telangana State Formation Day.

Harish Rao said many employees hoped the government would announce the implementation of the PRC on June 2.

He also claimed that workers expected decisions regarding salary revisions and pending financial benefits.

However, he alleged that the government failed to meet those expectations despite increasing living costs.

Furthermore, he said employees continued to wait for decisions on issues affecting their financial well-being.

The BRS leader maintained that government staff, RTC employees and welfare workers deserved clarity on pending commitments.
