Hyderabad: The Telangana State Road Transport Corporation (TGSRTC) said its TGSRTC free connectivity initiative for Bengaluru-bound passengers has received an overwhelming response, leading to an increase of 60 to 70 ticket bookings every day.
According to the corporation, the initiative combines additional bus stoppages on the Hyderabad-Bengaluru route with free intra-city connectivity through Pushpak AC buses operating to Shamshabad Airport. The move aims to provide greater convenience to IT professionals, business travellers and other passengers.
Passengers travelling to Bengaluru on TGSRTC buses can use the Pushpak AC airport services free of cost by showing their confirmed Bengaluru journey ticket. The corporation said the facility has reduced travel expenses while making the overall journey more convenient.
TGSRTC free connectivity increases passenger demand
With passenger numbers rising, TGSRTC has increased the number of bus stoppages on the Hyderabad-Bengaluru route to improve accessibility and travel convenience.
TGSRTC Managing Director V. C. Sajjanar Nagi Reddy directed officials to operate additional services based on passenger demand to meet the growing rush.
“Passenger convenience and safe travel remain TGSRTC’s top priorities, and the corporation continues to introduce innovative measures to enhance its services. We are delighted by the encouraging response to the free Pushpak AC connectivity introduced for Bengaluru-bound passengers. We urge commuters to make full use of this facility,” Nagi Reddy said.
The corporation said it will continue to strengthen passenger-focused services while expanding facilities in response to increasing demand on one of its busiest inter-state routes.
