Hyderabad: Information Technology and Industries Minister Duddilla Sridhar Babu invited German firms to Telangana, saying the State offers one of the most favourable environments in India for establishing manufacturing industries.
During a meeting with a high-level German delegation led by Tobias Gotthardt, Vice Minister of the Bavarian Ministry of Economic Affairs, Regional Development and Energy, at the Secretariat on Friday, the Minister urged German industrialists to invest in Telangana. He said the State government is implementing investor-friendly industrial policies, developing world-class infrastructure and building a skilled workforce to transform Telangana into a global manufacturing hub.
The meeting focused on strengthening economic ties between Telangana and Germany. Sridhar Babu explained the government’s industrial policies and the incentives being offered to accelerate industrial development and attract new investments.
He said German firms Telangana can explore opportunities across life sciences, biotechnology, aerospace, defence, advanced manufacturing, precision engineering, digital engineering, semiconductors, automotive and mobility, artificial intelligence, digital health, research and innovation, clean energy, global capability centres and Industry 4.0.
German firms Telangana offered technology partnership
Sridhar Babu said the State is systematically building a comprehensive ecosystem centred on advanced technology, research, innovation and skill development to meet future industrial needs.
He added that the Telangana government is prepared to expand its partnership with Germany beyond investments by promoting collaboration in technology, research and workforce development.
The Minister reiterated that German firms Telangana would benefit from the State’s business-friendly ecosystem, modern infrastructure and strong policy support for industries.
German Consul General Michael Hasper, Germany’s Honorary Consul in Hyderabad Amita Desai, Executive Director of the Bavarian Ministry of Economic Affairs Ulrike Hoffmann, Executive Director of the Bavaria India Office John Kottayil and other officials attended the meeting.
