Hyderabad: Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy on Monday announced that the Telangana Assembly session would begin on September 7. Revanth Reddy announced the schedule during a meeting with available Ministers and party legislators at the Secretariat.
At the meeting, the Chief Minister also directed elected representatives to speed up pending land acquisition for irrigation projects in their constituencies. He warned that irrigation projects could not move forward if representatives neglected the land acquisition process. Therefore, he asked them to closely monitor pending acquisition requirements.
Telangana Assembly session announcement comes at legislators’ meeting
Revanth Reddy said the State government was ready to immediately provide the funds required for land acquisition.
The government would also provide required funds for Rehabilitation and Resettlement measures connected with the projects. In addition, Revanth Reddy cited forest clearances among the areas requiring attention.
The Chief Minister asked elected representatives to ensure that pending procedural issues did not delay irrigation projects. He also directed legislators to maintain a strong focus on development works in their respective constituencies.
