Commercial LPG cylinder prices hiked again from June 1

Hyderabad: Oil marketing companies have increased commercial LPG cylinder prices across the country from June 1.

The latest revision applies to 19-kg commercial LPG cylinders. As a result, hotels, restaurants and small businesses will face higher operating costs.

Although the increase is modest, it follows a series of hikes in recent months. Those increases have already added pressure on commercial establishments.

However, households received some relief. Companies left the price of 14.2-kg domestic LPG cylinders unchanged.

In New Delhi, the price of a 19-kg commercial cylinder increased by Rs 42. The revised price now stands at Rs 3,113.50.

Commercial LPG cylinder prices revised in major cities

Kolkata recorded the highest increase of Rs 53.50. Consequently, the price of a commercial cylinder there rose to Rs 3,255.50.

Meanwhile, the price of a 19-kg commercial cylinder in Mumbai crossed Rs 3,024 after the latest revision.

Industry observers said commercial LPG cylinder prices have risen steadily over the past few months. Notably, rates increased by as much as Rs 993 during May.

Analysts linked the increase to fluctuations in global crude oil prices. Additionally, geopolitical tensions in West Asia have affected fuel markets.

Furthermore, disruptions in international supply chains have added pressure on prices.

Consequently, businesses that depend on commercial LPG may face higher operating expenses in the coming weeks.

Industry experts also expect the hike to influence food prices. Restaurants and eateries may pass on the additional burden to customers.
