Hyderabad: The Telangana Housing Board will conduct the Indiramma Indlu Towers lottery from August 28 to 31 for applicants from 16 Assembly constituencies in Hyderabad.
Housing Board Vice-Chairman V.P. Gautham said officials would cover four constituencies each day. The department will stream the entire process live on YouTube.
Officials have taken measures to make the draw transparent. They will also prevent doubts and rumours about the allotment process.
However, applicants cannot all enter the lottery centres because of space and security constraints. Instead, officials will install screens outside the centres so people can watch the draw.
The live broadcast will also run on the tghb.telangana.gov.in website. In addition, applicants can watch it through the Housing Department’s Facebook and Instagram accounts under the handle tghd.official.
The department accepted applications until August 15. Officials examined all applications and considered objections from applicants whom they initially found ineligible.
Indiramma Indlu Towers lottery schedule
On August 28, officials will hold the Quthbullapur lottery at Gajularamaram Gandimaisamma Function Hall. They will conduct the Secunderabad Cantonment draw at Mallareddy Gardens in Boinpally.
The Rajendranagar lottery will take place at Lakshmiguda Savings Society Hall in Mailardevpally. Meanwhile, Nampally applicants will attend the draw at Vets Garden in Red Hills.
On August 29, the Khairatabad lottery will take place at Kumram Bheem Adivasi Bhavan and Sevalal Banjara Bhavan in MLA Colony.
The Kukatpally draw will take place at KPHB Community Hall. Similarly, officials will hold the Amberpet lottery at Maharana Pratap Function Hall.
For Bahadurpura, the department will conduct the draw at SDR Pearl Palace.
On August 30, the Serilingampally lottery for the Raidurg project will take place at the Nirmiti Kendra premises in Gachibowli.
The Malakpet draw will take place at Saadia Function Hall in Champapet. Meanwhile, Ibrahimpatnam applicants will attend the lottery at Rajiv Swagruha Community Hall in Bandlaguda.
Officials will conduct the Medchal lottery at Pocharam Swagruha Community Hall.
On August 31, the department will conduct the Malkajgiri Koukoor project lottery at VBR Gardens in Alwal.
The Sanathnagar Patigadda lottery will take place at Heaven Palace Function Hall. Officials will hold the Maheshwaram Jalpally project draw at Badangpet Praja Bhavan.
The Karwan Kulsumpura project lottery will take place at the designated centre.
No middlemen in housing allotments
Gautham said officials would follow government guidelines while allotting the flats. He stressed that recommendations and middlemen would have no role.
Therefore, he urged applicants not to believe people who claim they can secure houses outside the official lottery process.
Applicants who meet the eligibility criteria but do not receive a house in the current draw can apply in later phases, he said.
The current projects form part of a pilot programme. The government plans to construct one lakh houses in total.
Furthermore, applicants found ineligible for the present scheme can apply for the MIG housing programme. The government will announce details of that scheme separately.
Gautham said the government aimed to provide homes to people across different sections.
He also rejected claims that middlemen could secure houses for applicants who missed out in the lottery. He urged people not to approach anyone making such promises.
Only eligible applicants will receive houses through the prescribed allotment process, he said.
Applicants with doubts can contact the dedicated call centre at 040-24603572. They can also report anyone claiming to arrange an allotment through unofficial means.
Gautham reiterated that the Indiramma Indlu Towers allotment would follow the eligibility rules and lottery process.
