CMC unauthorised constructions drive sees 17 demolitions across three zones

Hyderabad: Cyberabad Municipal Corporation intensified action against CMC unauthorised constructions on Wednesday, demolishing 17 structures and serving 10 notices across its three zones.

Field enforcement teams identified 19 unauthorised constructions during the latest phase of the corporation’s ongoing drive. The teams carried out inspections and verified suspected violations before initiating action under the prescribed enforcement procedure.

Of the 17 demolitions, five were carried out in Serilingampally Zone. Meanwhile, Kukatpally Zone and Quthbullapur Zone recorded six demolitions each. The corporation said field-level teams had undertaken the action after identifying and verifying cases involving unauthorised construction.

CMC unauthorised constructions face continuous monitoring

The CMC Commissioner directed officials to maintain continuous field-level surveillance against building violations across all three zones. Officials were asked to ensure that identified CMC unauthorised constructions reached their logical conclusion through the prescribed enforcement process.

In addition, the Commissioner instructed teams to closely track individual cases from the identification and verification stages. Officials were also directed to coordinate with the concerned enforcement teams while pursuing further action against violations.

The corporation said its enforcement campaign would continue across Serilingampally, Kukatpally and Quthbullapur zones. According to officials, the continuing drive sought to ensure compliance with applicable building regulations and prevent unauthorised construction.

The corporation’s field teams will continue inspections, verification and enforcement action as part of the drive, officials said.
