Qutubullapur fake doctors: 10 arrested in police raids

Hyderabad: Police arrested 10 fake doctors for allegedly practicing medicine without the required qualifications in Qutubullapur. Quthbullapur DCP Kotireddy disclosed the details to the media.

SOT police conducted raids with district medical officers after receiving information about unqualified medical practitioners. The teams searched locations in Medchal, Sangareddy, Patancheruvu, Arsipuram, Jagadgirigutta, Suraram and Bachupalli.

During the raids, officials found that some accused had studied only Intermediate or Class 10. However, they had established clinics and presented themselves as RMPs while treating patients.

Police identified the arrested persons as V. Buchaiah, Sudhakarchari and D. Anjagoud. The list also included Ramavat Prakash, Mekala Akshay Kumar and K. Narayana.

G. Prahlad, Konapala Buchaiah Babu, S. Srinivas Rao and P. Gangaram were also arrested. Police seized medical equipment, expired medicines, syringes and saline bottles from the accused.

Following the raids, police registered a case against the accused. Investigators are now examining the circumstances under which the clinics operated.

Meanwhile, the raids covered multiple areas across the region after authorities received information about unqualified people practicing medicine. District medical officers assisted police teams during the enforcement action.

The operation found that the accused had used the RMP designation despite lacking the stated medical qualifications. Police seized the materials found at their clinics as part of the investigation.

The authorities have continued the investigation into the fake doctors and their medical practices. Further details will depend on the findings of the ongoing probe.
