Rythu Bharosa assistance reaches 70.40 lakh farmers in Telangana

Hyderabad: The Telangana government has credited Rythu Bharosa assistance worth Rs. 8,759.60 crore to the bank accounts of 70.40 lakh farmers for the current monsoon season. The financial support covers cultivation across 1.45 crore acres.

Farmers receive investment support for Kharif cultivation

Under the scheme, farmers received Rs. 6,000 per acre as investment assistance. The state government said it directly transferred the funds into beneficiaries’ bank accounts under the ongoing Rythu Bharosa programme.

Additionally, the financial assistance aims to help farmers meet cultivation expenses during the Kharif season. It also seeks to reduce the burden of rising input costs.

Nalgonda tops district-wise Rythu Bharosa assistance

Among all districts, Nalgonda received the highest allocation under the scheme. A total of Rs. 716.86 crore was credited to 5.35 lakh farmers.

Meanwhile, Khammam received Rs. 428 crore for 3.42 lakh farmers. Likewise, Nagarkurnool received Rs. 423 crore for 3.08 lakh farmers, while Sangareddy received Rs. 418 crore for 3.16 lakh farmers.

Medchal Malkajgiri records the lowest allocation

In contrast, Medchal Malkajgiri recorded the lowest allocation under the scheme. The government credited Rs. 23.62 crore to nearly 25,000 farmers in the district.

Overall, the Telangana government said the Rythu Bharosa assistance has now reached 70.40 lakh farmers across the state. As a result, the programme has supported cultivation over 1.45 crore acres during the ongoing monsoon season.
