Advanced Technology Centre job fair attracts 2,500 students in Hyderabad

Hyderabad: The Advanced Technology Centre job fair held at the Mallepally Government ITI campus on Monday attracted more than 2,500 students. More than 30 leading companies participated to recruit candidates trained in advanced technical skills.

Mega recruitment drive attracts top companies

The mega recruitment drive was organised by Tata Technologies Limited for students who completed courses at 30 Advanced Technology Centres (ATCs) across the Hyderabad region. Human resource teams from companies across India interviewed candidates trained in industry-oriented programmes.

Moreover, recruiters gave priority to students skilled in Industrial Robotics, Electric Vehicles (EV), CNC Machining, automation, and other advanced manufacturing technologies. Industry representatives said the event reflected the growing demand for technically skilled professionals. They also highlighted the impact of the state’s skill development initiatives.

Companies offer attractive salary packages

Several leading companies announced competitive salary packages during the Advanced Technology Centre job fair. For instance, Tata Motors offered monthly salaries ranging from Rs. 17,000 to Rs. 20,000 for candidates across all trades at its Pune and Gujarat facilities. As a result, the company selected a large number of students.

Meanwhile, Hyderabad-based Azad Engineering Limited offered salaries between Rs. 17,000 and Rs. 25,000 per month, depending on candidates’ skills. This made it one of the highest-paying recruiters at the event.

Additionally, Jindal Corporation offered Rs. 12,000 per month along with free accommodation and other benefits for positions in Hyderabad. Axis Global Automation announced a monthly salary of Rs. 16,000 with accommodation for placements in Tamil Nadu, Karnataka, Uttar Pradesh, and Odisha. Besides these firms, another 15 to 20 companies also recruited candidates during the fair.

Student participation across technical programmes

A total of 2,265 eligible students from six advanced technical programmes participated in the recruitment drive. The largest group comprised 846 students from Industrial Robotics and Digital Manufacturing Technician. It was followed by 733 students from Manufacturing Process Control and Automation Technician.

Furthermore, 365 students came from Engineering Design Technician, while 145 represented the Mechanic Electric Vehicle programme. Another 103 students belonged to the Advanced CNC Machining Technician course, and 73 participated from the Virtual Analysis and Designer programme.

Overall, the job fair showcased the increasing demand for skilled technical professionals and created employment opportunities for students trained at Advanced Technology Centres.
