Hyderabad: BRS Working President K.T. Rama Rao (KTR) visited the family of Telangana movement martyr and late constable Kishtayya in Karimnagar, paid floral tributes to him, and handed over an education assistance cheque announced by BRS president K. Chandrashekar Rao (KCR) for his daughter, Dr Priyanka.
During the visit, KTR met Kishtayya’s wife Padmavathi, son Rahul, daughter-in-law Varsha and daughter Dr Priyanka. He enquired about their well-being and remembered Kishtayya’s contribution and sacrifice during the Telangana movement.
KTR also blessed Kishtayya’s grandson, baby Vedanth Raghav Kishtayya, who was recently born. He presented clothes, gifts and a special pendant bearing the letter “K” in memory of the late constable.
KTR visits Kishtayya family and assures continued support
As part of the financial assistance announced by KCR, KTR handed over a cheque to Dr Priyanka to support her postgraduate medical education.
KTR spent time with the family and assured them that the BRS party would continue to stand by them in the future.
According to the BRS party, family members thanked KTR for visiting their home, blessing the newborn, extending emotional support and providing financial assistance for Dr Priyanka’s education.
Former minister Gangula Kamalakar, MLAs Kaushik Reddy and Dr Sanjay Kalvakuntla, BRS General Secretary Jeevan Reddy and other party leaders also attended the programme.
