Jupally reviews Palamuru-Rangareddy project ahead of CM visit

Hyderabad: Telangana Minister Jupally Krishna Rao reviewed works under the Palamuru-Rangareddy project at Narlapur in Nagarkurnool district ahead of Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy’s visit on June 4 and 5.

The minister inspected the lift irrigation scheme along with officials. He reviewed canal construction works under Package-3.

He also examined the delivery system under Package-2 and pump house construction works under Package-1.

Jupally assessed preparations for the Chief Minister’s visit. He issued directions on security and coordination arrangements.

Palamuru-Rangareddy project to be reviewed by CM

The minister instructed officials on presenting the project’s progress to the Chief Minister.

He also reviewed arrangements involving public representatives and government departments.

Meanwhile, Revanth Reddy will hold a review meeting on irrigation projects in the undivided Mahabubnagar district at Somasila on June 4.

Jupally said the Palamuru-Rangareddy project remained one of Telangana’s key infrastructure initiatives.

According to the minister, the scheme will benefit farmers in Mahabubnagar, Rangareddy, Vikarabad and Nalgonda districts.

He said the project would provide irrigation water to lakhs of acres. It would also help meet drinking water needs in several regions.

Jupally urged all departments to work in coordination during the Chief Minister’s visit.

The minister said the government considers the project a key part of its efforts to support farmers and strengthen agriculture.
