Hyderabad: Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy directed irrigation officials to speed up work on the Palamuru-Rangareddy project during an inspection in Nagarkurnool district.
As part of his second-day tour, the Chief Minister visited Narlapur Reservoir Package-1 works in Kollapur mandal.
He reviewed the progress of the head regulator under construction.
Officials briefed him on the status of ongoing works.
The Chief Minister and ministers also inspected the delivery cistern at Narlapur.
Palamuru-Rangareddy project works come under review
Subsequently, Revanth Reddy held an on-site review meeting with officials.
He discussed measures required to complete the project and provide irrigation water at the earliest.
After the inspection, he met residents of villages affected by submergence.
The Chief Minister interacted with displaced families and enquired about compensation issues.
He also reviewed concerns related to rehabilitation.
Meanwhile, affected families explained their grievances during the interaction.
Revanth Reddy assured them that the government would support them and address legitimate demands.
He said the **Palamuru-Rangareddy project** would play a major role in expanding irrigation facilities in the region.
Furthermore, he warned that the government would not tolerate delays in project execution.
The Chief Minister instructed officials and contracting agencies to increase the pace of work.
He also directed them to complete all components within the stipulated timeframe.
Irrigation Minister N. Uttam Kumar Reddy, Ministers Jupally Krishna Rao and Vakiti Srihari, along with senior officials, accompanied him during the visit.
