Hyderabad: Jurala Project inflow fell to 34,000 cusecs, according to the latest water levels reported for the reservoir.
Authorities released 31 cusecs of water towards the Srisailam reservoir through the hydroelectricity system. Meanwhile, the Jurala Project continued to hold water close to its full level.
The full reservoir level of the project stands at 318.51 metres. However, the current water level reached 318.24 metres.
The Jurala Project inflow has decreased from earlier levels. Despite the decline, the reservoir remained close to its full storage capacity.
The project has a full water storage capacity of 9.65 TMC. At present, the reservoir holds 9.09 TMC of water.
Jurala Project inflow and storage details
The current storage represents most of the project’s full capacity. Therefore, authorities continued to release water towards Srisailam through the hydropower system.
The difference between the full reservoir level and the current level stood at 0.27 metres. Similarly, the reservoir’s current storage was 0.56 TMC below its full capacity.
Officials are monitoring the inflow and storage levels as water conditions change. The inflow remains an important factor in managing releases towards the downstream reservoir.
