BJP played key role in Telangana formation, says Bandi Sanjay

Hyderabad: Union Minister of State for Home Affairs Bandi Sanjay Kumar said the BJP role in Telangana formation was decisive and claimed the state became a reality with the party’s support.

Speaking at Telangana Formation Day celebrations at the BJP state office in Hyderabad, Bandi Sanjay said the BJP fought for statehood for several years. He claimed the party championed the Telangana cause from the grassroots level to the national stage.

According to the Union Minister, the BJP made a significant contribution to the statehood movement. He maintained that the party stood firmly behind the demand for a separate state.

BJP role in Telangana formation highlighted at celebrations

Bandi Sanjay also targeted the Congress government in Telangana. He accused Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy of focusing on collections and commissions instead of governance.

Furthermore, he alleged that people across Telangana were dissatisfied with the present administration. He claimed the state government was criticising the Centre to deflect attention from governance issues.

Questioning the criticism directed at the Union government, Bandi Sanjay said the BJP-led Centre was committed to welfare programmes. He added that the government was working to ensure benefits reached all sections of society.

The Union Minister said Telangana needed a government that could ensure development and financial discipline. According to him, the state’s debt burden remained a major challenge.

Bandi Sanjay praised Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s leadership. Moreover, he reiterated that the BJP role in Telangana formation demonstrated the party’s commitment to the state’s interests. He claimed BJP-ruled states achieved progress through effective utilisation of public funds.

He also alleged that corruption had increased in Telangana. Therefore, he urged people to support a government that focused on transparency and development.
