Bandi Sanjay hits out at Congress over SIR, Metro claims

Hyderabad: Union Minister Bandi Sanjay Kumar criticised the Congress over the Special Intensive Revision (SIR) exercise and rejected allegations that Union Minister G. Kishan Reddy was obstructing Telangana’s Metro expansion plans.

Speaking to the media, Bandi Sanjay said Kishan Reddy had no reason to block the Metro project and described the allegations against him as baseless.

He asserted that the BJP remains committed to Telangana’s development and said the party does not require certification from the Congress.

The Union Minister accused the Congress of creating confusion over the SIR process. He questioned whether votes of foreign nationals should remain on electoral rolls.

Furthermore, he asked why the Congress was not demanding the removal of votes belonging to people from other countries. Bandi Sanjay said the party was raising the issue to ensure transparency in the electoral process.

Bandi Sanjay comments on Maoist ideology

The Union Minister also spoke about Maoist activities and questioned what the movement had ultimately achieved. He said violence had claimed the lives of innocent people, including minors.

According to him, the use of armed struggle had failed to achieve its objectives. He stated that several senior Maoist leaders had recognised the limitations of violence and later cooperated with authorities.

Moreover, he noted that many cadres had surrendered over the years. Bandi Sanjay said individuals who still believe they can achieve goals through Maoist ideology should reconsider that approach.

He reiterated that armed violence cannot serve as a solution to social or political issues. The Union Minister maintained that democratic methods alone can bring lasting change and development.
