Rakesh Reddy hits back at Revanth Reddy over remarks on Kishan Reddy

Hyderabad: BJP MLA Rakesh Reddy launched a sharp attack on Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy and criticised his remarks against Union Minister G. Kishan Reddy.

Addressing a press conference at the BJP state headquarters in Nampally, Rakesh Reddy alleged that the Chief Minister was targeting Kishan Reddy for political gains ahead of the GHMC elections.

He accused the Congress government of failing in governance and attempting to divert attention from its shortcomings by attacking the Union Minister. Rakesh Reddy said leaders from the Congress party had themselves made allegations about irregularities in the distribution of party posts.

He also referred to the issuance of notices to a Congress leader over such remarks. The BJP legislator said the Chief Minister should exercise restraint and maintain decorum while making public statements. He further stated that Revanth Reddy had no moral authority to question the character of Kishan Reddy, Bandi Sanjay or Ramchander Rao.

Rakesh Reddy accuses Congress of diverting attention

Rakesh Reddy said the Centre remains committed to supporting Telangana’s development and is willing to extend assistance for projects that genuinely benefit the state. However, he alleged that the state government was more focused on personal interests than public welfare.

Furthermore, he urged the Chief Minister to concentrate on issues affecting the people instead of engaging in political attacks. The BJP MLA alleged that the Congress and BRS governments had pushed Telangana into financial distress through mismanagement.

He expressed confidence that the BJP would come to power in the state in the future. Moreover, Rakesh Reddy claimed that a BJP government would work to improve the state’s financial position and accelerate development. The MLA concluded by asserting that the BJP would strive to place Telangana among the leading states in the country.
