He asked them to install warning signboards at all such locations.
Further, he directed the department to coordinate with other agencies during emergencies.
Officials must also continue field-level monitoring throughout the monsoon season.
The minister instructed the department to operate a control room at the Errum Manzil headquarters.
In addition, officials should review district-wise conditions every day.
He directed Chief Engineers, Superintending Engineers, Executive Engineers, Deputy Engineers and Assistant Engineers to conduct daily field visits.

He asked officials to focus on projects nearing completion.
Regional Ring Road and airport projects discussed
The minister said Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy was giving priority to strengthening the state’s road network.
He noted that the government introduced a road sector policy aligned with the goal of building a $3 trillion Telangana economy by 2047.
According to him, better roads will attract industries and create jobs in rural areas.
Further, Komatireddy reviewed the progress of the Regional Ring Road project.
He described the project as a potential game changer for Telangana.
The minister recalled that he and the Chief Minister had met Union Minister Nitin Gadkari to seek faster implementation of the project.

The amount represents the state’s share of land acquisition costs for the northern section of the Regional Ring Road.
Meanwhile, he urged Union ministers and BJP MPs from Telangana to support approval of the southern section.
Komatireddy also said he would discuss proposed high-speed rail corridors with the Chief Minister.
The corridors would connect Hyderabad with Pune, Mumbai, Chennai and Bengaluru.
