Hyderabad: Telangana Director General of Police (DGP) C.V. Anand inaugurated 300 new CCTV cameras in Adilabad and said the police department was committed to using modern technology to strengthen public safety and security services.
The DGP launched the surveillance network during his visit to Adilabad district.
He said technology was playing an increasingly important role in crime prevention and public safety.
The DGP also planted saplings and highlighted the importance of environmental protection.
CCTV cameras in Adilabad boost surveillance network
Officials installed a total of 300 new CCTV cameras across the district.
They placed 220 cameras in rural areas.
They also installed 80 cameras in urban locations.
Police said the expanded surveillance network would support crime monitoring and improve security coverage.
Meanwhile, several senior police officers attended the programme.
The participants included Women Safety, CID and ACB Director General Charu Sinha.
Multizone-I Inspector General S. Chandrasekhar Reddy and Adilabad Superintendent of Police Akhil Mahajan also attended the event.
Additional SP (Administration) P. Mounika, Utnoor ASP Ruthvik Sai Kotte and Adilabad DSP L. Jeevan Reddy participated in the programme.
Town CI B. Sunil Kumar, police personnel and other officials also joined the event.
