Hyderabad: Hema Latha, wife of Charminar ACP Chandrasekhar, was found dead at her residence in Alwal on Sunday in an apparent suicide. Police registered a case and launched an investigation into the incident.
According to police, ACP Chandrasekhar became concerned after his wife did not respond to repeated phone calls. He informed their son, Chandrhas, who rushed to the house. The bedroom door was locked from inside, prompting Chandrhas and the apartment watchman to force it open.
They found Hema Latha unconscious and shifted her to a private hospital in Kompally. Doctors declared her brought dead.

In his complaint, Chandrhas told police that his mother had been suffering from chronic stomach and spinal ailments for a long time. The family believes her prolonged health problems may have contributed to her emotional distress.
Alwal Police said the exact cause and circumstances surrounding the death would be established during the investigation.
