Hyderabad Police monitor waterlogging hotspots during heavy rain

Hyderabad: Hyderabad Police Commissioner V.C. Sajjanar and senior traffic police officers inspected major waterlogging points in the city during heavy rainfall. They reviewed measures to ensure public safety and smooth traffic movement.

Sajjanar visited the GRT waterlogging point in Somajiguda along with Joint Commissioner of Police (Traffic) Joel Davis and DCP Traffic-I Avinash Kumar. The officers assessed the ground situation and reviewed response measures at the location.

The team also inspected the waterlogging-prone area near Monappa Junction. Officers evaluated preparedness measures and reviewed coordination among concerned agencies.

Hyderabad Police intensify monitoring at vulnerable locations

Meanwhile, senior officers and field personnel remained deployed at vulnerable locations throughout the rainfall. They continuously monitored traffic conditions and supervised field operations.

Officials also reviewed traffic regulation measures at critical junctions. They assessed the impact of water accumulation on vehicular movement.

Further, Sajjanar instructed officials to take preventive measures and ensure quick drainage clearance at identified waterlogging points. He also directed teams to strengthen coordination during the monsoon season.

The Commissioner stressed the need for swift response mechanisms. He called for close coordination among departments to address rain-related challenges across the city.

Hyderabad Police said officers would continue monitoring vulnerable areas round the clock. They will also respond swiftly to weather-related disruptions to safeguard public safety and mobility.
