Hyderabad: A Saidabad murder case was reported from Singareni Colony under the Saidabad Police Station limits after a 35-year-old man died in a knife attack on Tuesday.
Police identified the deceased as Hameer. According to preliminary information, a local youth allegedly attacked him with a coconut-cutting knife in full public view. Local residents rushed the injured man to a nearby hospital. However, doctors declared him dead on arrival.
Saidabad murder probe gathers pace
Police said Hameer had several criminal cases registered against him in the past. Investigators are examining all possible angles to establish the motive behind the attack. Meanwhile, special police teams launched a search for the absconding suspect. Officers continued efforts to trace and apprehend the accused.
According to local residents, both the deceased and the suspect were allegedly associated with a group of youths who consumed cannabis. Police have not officially confirmed the claim. Investigators said further details would emerge after the inquiry progresses. The Saidabad murder remains under investigation.
