Avinash Kumar assumes charge as Hyderabad DCP Traffic-1

Hyderabad: IPS officer Avinash Kumar on Monday officially assumed charge as Deputy Commissioner of Police (Traffic-1) in Hyderabad. The newly created traffic division covers the Khairatabad and Secunderabad law and order zones under the restructured city police commissionerate.

After taking charge, Avinash Kumar met Hyderabad Police Commissioner V.C. Sajjanar, IPS, in a courtesy call and presented him with a bouquet. The Commissioner welcomed the new officer and offered his congratulations.

Focus on addressing traffic challenges and improving public service

Commissioner Sajjanar advised the newly appointed DCP to conduct an in-depth assessment of the city’s traffic challenges and work efficiently to deliver improved services to both motorists and the general public.

The new appointment comes as part of the city’s broader administrative reorganisation, aimed at enhancing traffic management and public convenience in key urban zones.
