Kavitha blames government over law and order concerns in Telangana

Hyderabad: Telangana Rakshana Sena Party chief and former MLC K. Kavitha alleged that law and order concerns had intensified in the state under the Congress government.

In a post on X, Kavitha claimed that incidents of sexual assault and attacks on women were occurring frequently across Telangana.

She referred to the alleged assault on a 12-year-old girl in Khammam.

According to Kavitha, the incident had caused widespread concern.

She alleged that the accused attempted to kill the girl after the assault.

Law and order concerns highlighted after recent incidents

Kavitha said the incident in the district headquarters had raised questions about the safety of women and girls.

Therefore, she demanded that police complete the investigation quickly.

She also sought strict punishment for the accused.

Meanwhile, Kavitha referred to the recent shooting incident in Hyderabad’s Malkajgiri area.

She described the killing of a woman allegedly by her husband as a shocking crime.

Further, the former MLC claimed that authorities could have prevented the incident if they had acted earlier against the accused.

She alleged that the case reflected a deterioration in the law and order situation in Telangana.

Additionally, Kavitha accused Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy of failing to maintain control over governance and public safety.

She demanded the immediate arrest of the accused in the Malkajgiri case.

She also said the government should accept moral responsibility for the incident.
