Hyderabad: Hyderabad District Congress Committee president Syed Khalid Saifullah launched the Congress BLA App, a digital platform designed to help Booth Level Agents identify duplicate voters and support citizens during the Special Intensive Revision (SIR) of electoral rolls.
Launching the application at a BLA training programme, Saifullah said the tool was developed specifically for Hyderabad district to strengthen voter verification and electoral roll management.
He said every registered BLA would receive secure access through an OTP-based login system.

Meanwhile, Saifullah explained that the application includes a dedicated section that highlights potential duplicate voter records.
According to him, the system identifies records with matching details such as names, father’s names, house numbers and other identifiers.
He said the feature enables BLAs to identify possible duplicate entries quickly and submit the required forms for verification.
Further, Saifullah said maintaining an accurate voter list is primarily the responsibility of Booth Level Agents.
He stressed that only workers operating at the booth level can effectively identify and report duplicate voter records.
Additionally, he informed participants that Congress volunteers had already compiled and analysed voter data across Hyderabad.
He urged party workers to devote the coming month to voter list verification activities.
Saifullah also said the party would continue monitoring newly added voter records through Election Commission data.
According to him, data analytics tools can help detect suspicious duplicate entries created through minor changes in age or name.
The Congress BLA App also includes a voter mapping module with booth-wise voter information.
The feature allows BLAs to conduct field surveys alongside Booth Level Officers and guide citizens on documentation required under the SIR process.
