Hyderabad: The Karimnagar SIR process has reached nearly 90% completion, with officials urging political parties to cooperate in achieving 100% coverage. A special review meeting at the Karimnagar Municipal Corporation office examined digitisation, rationalisation, polling station changes, and issues involving deceased and shifted voters.
Officials handed over ASD lists to representatives of political parties and invited their feedback on field-level issues. They also discussed the proposed relocation of six polling stations. Moreover, officials directed Mandal Revenue Officers and political party representatives to jointly inspect the identified locations on Saturday.
The review found that about 90% of the online digitisation process has been completed. Officials urged political parties to report discrepancies in the ASD lists so they can be corrected without delay.
Karimnagar SIR process focuses on voter verification
Officials identified around 2,300 voters under the no-mapping and wrong-mapping categories. Consequently, Booth Level Officers (BLOs) will issue notices to those voters for verification. The authorities also said the list of deleted voters would be displayed along with the draft electoral roll.
Officials stressed that every eligible citizen must receive the right to vote through an accurate and transparent electoral roll. Furthermore, they urged voters who have not submitted their Enumeration Forms to complete the process by Saturday. Political party representatives were also asked to create awareness among such voters and extend full cooperation to complete the Karimnagar SIR process.
